The name Scafall comes from the Irish word for scaffolding – a structure built to support something as it becomes. The word was chosen not only for its meaning, but for its sound: soft, architectural, and steady. It evokes a framework that holds space without demanding to be seen. Scafall creates homes and décor at the meeting point between flow and a playful hybridisation of architectural genres into contemporary restraint.

Today, Scafall is led by Gianna Marques, a designer devoted to building digital spaces. Her work is grounded in a sensitivity to proportion, material harmony, and emotional logic.

Each Scafall release reflects a commitment to architectural realism and spatial rhythm, not simply mimicking physical structures, but interpreting them with a crafted digital hand.

Gianna’s approach blends lived memory with a deep attentiveness to real-world design: the smoothness of stone, the warmth of timber, the way a room can open or settle depending on a single line.

Where It All Began

Scafall was born through a shared creative exploration between self-taught 3D artists, Zaidbahadar Resident and Gianna Marques, a partnership rooted in love, mutual challenge and a shared passion for art. Zaid handled the precision with monk-like flow while Gianna moved barefoot by feel, shaping everything in between.

With backgrounds in traditional arts, Zaid and Gianna brought a foundation of craft and a sensitivity into their digital work. Their creations are influenced by a convergence of styles, but always threaded with a deep appreciation for nature, negative space, depth and tactile realism.

Design Philosophy

Every Scafall release aims for a careful balance of: high bake quality, optimised land impact, and spatial design led by feeling.

Drafted directly in-world using primitive building blocks, each structure is tested and refined through deliberate walkthroughs, adjusted again and again until the proportions, flow, and atmosphere harmonises naturally. Once it feels right, the mesh modelling begins where details and baked textures come to life.

Updates to Scafall products are made whenever possible, both to incorporate the ever-evolving Second Life, and reflect the ongoing growth of skill behind-the-scenes. Every update is a way of honouring the work and the people who hold it.

A New Chapter

In November 2023, Zaid stepped away from Scafall to focus on his real-life pursuits while Gianna continued to evolve the brand’s voice and vision.

Since then, Scafall has been led entirely by Gianna, with a renewed commitment to soul-driven design. The spirit of Scafall remains: clear, crafted, intuitive.

Looking Ahead

Each release is built with the intention of offering something real, not just visually, but emotionally: spaces that invite breath, playfulness, belonging, and ease. Scafall isn’t driven by trends, but is guided by care, and the love of making things that matter, even in the small ways.

Thank you for letting Scafall be a part of your Second Life.

A Letter From Gianna

Dear friends,

Scafall has grown into a space where I can share my creative landscapes with you.

Thank you for trusting me to build a small part of your Second Life, and for your patience through seasons of growth, change, and becoming.

I hope that with every new home, every vessel, every light, you feel the care and soul that goes into every piece. There’s so much more to come, and I’m honoured to walk this path with you.

Always,
Gianna
