| GIFT CARDS
At Scafall our gift cards are a thoughtful choice when you’re not quite sure what to choose.
You can find them at our mainstore. Once you’ve got one, follow the instructions below to use it.
WARNING: Before transferring it to another resident, first rez it on the ground (this activates it) and verify it. Read on for more details.
Activating &
Transferring
To secure your card or prepare it as a gift for another resident, you must first verify it on the ground.
1. Rez the card: Drop the card on the ground in a location that allows scripts (like your home or a sandbox).
2. Verify authenticity: Click Menu, then Verify then click the provided link to validate that it is a genuine CasperVend card.
• Important Security Note: Never grant debit permissions until you have verified your gift card is genuine.
3. To Use It Yourself: Pick the card back up into your inventory. It is now ready to wear.
4. To Gift It: Take the card back into your inventory. Because it has been rezzed and verified, it is now safely transferable to another resident.
How to Use
Your Gift Card
Scafall gift cards function as a HUD at Scafall Mainstore. Because events outside our mainstore often restrict scripts, there is no guarantee the card will function at off-site events.
1. Wear the Card: Right-click the card in your inventory and select Wear to attach it to your screen as a HUD.
2. Select an Item: Right-click the store vendor’s buy tag or stand, then choose Touch.
3. Confirm Selection: Look at your gift card HUD to ensure the correct product registered.
• Tip: Generally our Décor items do not have a vendor photo, so no image will show on the card. If a “Could not find texture” error appears, ignore it.
• To confirm the card has registered your selected product, check if the product name is in the text above the card.
4. Buy: Tap the Buy Now button on your HUD to complete your purchase.
Adding Funds & Insufficient Credits
Automatic Top-Up During Purchase
If you click Buy Now on an item that exceeds your balance, the card will ask to top-up the difference. A Debit Permissions dialog will appear. You must grant these permissions so the card can safely accept your Lindens, add them to the balance, and complete the purchase.
Combining Multiple
Gift Cards
You can easily merge the balances of two separate Scafall gift cards onto a single card.
1. Wear both cards from your inventory.
• Tip: If they overlap on your screen, right-click one,
select Edit, and use the position arrows to slide it over
so you can see both simultaneously.
2. On the card you want to empty:
Click Menu → Transfer, then select From from the menu options.
3. On the card you want to add funds to:
Click Menu → Transfer, then select To from the menu options.
4. The funds will immediately consolidate onto the second card.
